Thought i’d do a quick makeup haul to show you the goodies I got from Tarte this week.
Oh I wish Tarte would just open a shop in the UK already. I love Tarte cosmetics so so much! I am so envious of you Americans who have easy access to this amazing brand. But at least good old QVC stock some Tarte products, slightly more expensive but never mind it will do for now!
Tarte Shape Tape Concealer ‘Light’ (£28.02)
I already own this concealer but I love it SO much that I felt the need to get a back up ready. Plus, I’ve been a lot paler in these winter months so the original shade I got ‘Light-medium’ was slightly too dark at the moment so I basically HAD to get one in ‘Light’ righttttt? This concealer is honestly the most amazing liquid concealer I have ever tried, it is full coverage, does NOT oxidise, does not budge from my face and the applicator is really big which makes it quick and easy to apply. I mentioned this concealer in a blog post a few weeks ago, you can read it here. I woud highly recommend investing in this concealer.
Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Foundation ‘Light-Medium’ (£35.04 on QVC)
I’ve been wanting to try this foundation for a while, and because its a water-based foundation I thought it could compliment my normal to dry skin. The packing is also just gorgeous!
First Impressions: Ok so I messed up and got a shade that doesn’t match my paler skin at the moment. But I faked tanned earlier today to test whether it matched me when I’m tanned and I’m pleased to say it does! I tried the foundation and my first impression is I really really like it. I have dry skin at the moment and this foundation is so lovely and hydrating, and doesn’t cling to any dryer patches. Therefore, this may not be the best choice for an oily skinned person. It’s a nice thin consistency so feels very light on the skin and went on seamlessly, I’d say it gave a medium to build-able coverage. It did not oxidise or become cakey throughout the day or settle into my ‘smile lines’, the foundation claims to have a 12 hour wear, I say it lasted about 9-10 hours before it started to fade. I honestly wish I bought this earlier as i’m a MASSIVE fan of water-based foundations and how they feel on my skin (Chanel Vitalumière Aqua being my favourite) so I think i’m going to love this one!
Tarte Toasted Palette (currently £32.76 on QVC, reduced from £36)
Last, but by no means least I finally caved and got the beautiful Tarte Toasted Palette. It’s taken me a while to jump on the Toasted hype, I told myself I didn’t need it as I’m already the owner of the Naked Heat Palette butttttttt Tarte palettes are one of my favourite eyeshadow formulas.
First Impressions: It obviously looks beautiful with lovely sturdy packaging. It has my favourite kind of colours like oranges, browns and golds that compliment my blue eyes. The colour pay-off is fantastic I only have to dip my brush in the eyeshadow and its like PIGMENT WOAH. There is quite a lot of excess product though so you do have to tap that off before applying to the lid. I can’t get over how velvety and smooth Tarte eyeshadows feel like, they are the nicest feeling eyeshadows ever! I find that all the colours in this palette really compliment each other so any combination of colours would look lovely. Also does anyone else find all the Tarte palettes smell like vanilla cupcakes?
I also included swatches with and without flash.
Let me know your favourite Tarte Cosmetics products. Have you tried any of these products? What did you think of them? I’d love to know.
