Monthly Favourites: February ❤

Hey Guys! I know we’re a few days into March now but I thought I would show you the products I’ve been loving throughout February and carrying on into this month as well.

BIODERMA Hydrabio Gel-crème

For one week out of this month I got super sick (it seems like a lot of people were this month??). Which meant my already dry-prone skin was especially dried out and in need of a boost of moisture. I am a massive fan of Bioderma (especially their Micellar water which I talked about in my evening skincare routine) so decided to give their moisturiser a go. The BIODERMA’s Hydrabio gel-cream moisturiser really impressed me. It moisturises my skin beautifully and has a really nice light consistency so does not clog my pores and break me out like some thick moisturisers do. My skin feels so soft and hydrated and the product smells so fresh and lovely. I’m so glad I gave this product a try as its a great everyday moisturiser.

Sudafed Blocked Nose Spray

The other thing I suffered with so badly this month because of being ill was a severely blocked nose. FUN! The Sudafed nose spray literally SAVED MY LIFE, it is the ONLY thing that would unblock my nose and give me a few hours of the ability to breathe. It was especially useful at night as not being able to breathe stops me from sleeping so a couple sprays of this and I drifted soundly to sleep. This stuff is seriously magical, if you’re ever suffering from a blocked nose you are going to want this in your life!! I literally have like 10 back-ups….I’m not kidding.

Benefit’s Roller Lash Mascara ‘Brown’

Due to being quite sick during the month of February, I opted for more natural ‘no makeup’ makeup looks rather than slathering it on which I couldn’t be bothered to do. As I have quite a fair complexion with blue eyes and blonde hair, sometimes a black mascara can look quite harsh on my eyes and dramatic-looking. So I find a brown mascara is perfect as it still brings my blonde lashes (cry) back to life, as you really can’t see my lashes without mascara (double-cry). I love the original roller lash mascara so I didn’t hesitate trying out the brown one and it is so lovely I would highly recommend.

Tarte ‘Toasted’ Palette

Ever since I got this palette in the middle of February, I’ve been obsessed with it and used it every day! It is super bendable, the colours are right up my street and stay on all day. I have more pictures of it in my Tarte Makeup Haul and it is just so gorgeous. Tarte eyeshadow palettes have one of the nicest formulas I’ve ever come across!

BIODERMA Sensibio Forte Cream

Unfortunately this month I suffered with a horrendous allergy rash-attack that made my face come out in massive red rashes and bumps. Coconut oil saved the majority of my massive flare-out but I was still left with quite reddened skin. This product worked really well in getting my skin looking back to normal as it is designed to help with redness and sensitive skin. It calmed my skin down so much and felt soothing, gentle and hydrating. I immediately noticed my skin was visibly less red after applying this. I will be grabbing this every-time I have a sensitive skin flare up it really works well. I love it!

Coconut Oil

I know I’m repeating myself as I recently mentioned coconut oil but this genuinely was one of my favourites and most used products over the last month! Ha. If you haven’t seen my blog post about my skin flare up the last month, coconut oil SAVED MY SKIN and I’ve been slathering it on my face and my skin has been smooth, bumps have reduced massively and redness has reduced dramatically alongside the use of the BIODERMA forte cream. This two products together were no match for sensitivity & redness.

Mac Fix+ Spray

I’m a sufferer of dry skin particularly during these cold months. However, when I do my makeup I love powdering at the end because it looks un-finished without powder and I think it completes my look. So of course, I HAVE to use a setting spray afterwards to put moisture back in to my poor dry skin. I have gone back to Mac Fix + setting spray this month and fallen back in love with it. My skin never feels dry or cakey during the day after I’ve used this spray over my makeup, it makes my skin look so dewy and it is so amazing! I’m so excited Mac have launched new scents for their spray and I am definitely going to pick up the coconut one soon!

OGX Weightless Hydration Coconut Water Oil

I think there’s a coconut theme going on in the month of February because not only did I love putting it on my face this month, my hair loved it too! I’ve had this for ages and love it but I hadn’t used it for a while so decided to start using it again after being inspired by coconut oil this month. I spray this into the ends of my hair and it helps get rid of dryness and leaves my hair soft, silky and doesn’t weigh my hair down. It smells absolutely divine plus its affordable so yay!

Walt Disney’s The Emperor’s New Groove DVD

I know this isn’t related to beauty at all but I rediscovered this film this month whilst I was sick and it is absolutely fantastic! I’m a massive Disney fan but you honestly don’t need to love Disney to enjoy this film. In my opinion the most underrated Disney movie of all time. I genuinely laughed out loud whilst watching this. I’d definitely give it a watch if you’re in the mood for some light-hearted entertainment.

Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution ‘English Beauty’ Lipstick

I am just in love with this lipstick by Charlotte Tilbury. Can we take a minute to appreciate how beautiful the packaging is? Ugh I just CAN’T Charlotte Tilbury has the best taste in packaging. This lipstick is a perfect pinky nude shade for my skin-tone, so as I was embracing the natural makeup look this month I wore this almost every-day. I love this lipstick so much because it glides on so easily on the lips and feels so moisturising despite it being a matte lipstick, which tend to be drying. In the tube it looks like it would come off a lot more brown, but on the lips it is definitely a cool toned pink-nude shade as it describes itself. It matches perfectly with the lip liner ‘Pillow Talk’ from CT.

Hope you enjoyed my February Fave’s and I’d love to hear what you enjoyed throughout the month or if you like anything i’ve mentioned! 🙂
